This free to play card collecting MMO allows players to build up their own mini decks and face off against other players and challenging AI opponents through various game modes and PVE campaigns. With five different Elemental Factions to choose from with over 800 unique collectable cards the game offers a wide variety of tactics and strategy to players where they can try and test their mini Squad decks and then compete in Tournaments and for PVP ranking against players from across the world.

The core of the game revolves around the basic components that make up a card unit, its attack value, its health and the number of turns it takes before the card will automatically enter battle. Whilst the strategy comes in designing a deck, or more accurately a Squad made up of seven cards, once a battle begins the combat is completely automated and relies on a combination of good planning and luck. The Squads cards come from the five different Elements/Factions: Mountains, Forests, Plains, Darkness and Swamp, to create a new Squad players must acquire a Squad Leader card, based on one of these Elements, and then assign cards from a matching element to them.

As each round passes cards will enter the battlefield, two facing horizontal lines made up of seven positions, and will automatically be positioned from left to right filling the first open slot. When two cards face each other day automatically attack each other at the end of the round dealing their damage or performing any special actions that they have available. When a card is destroyed it opens up a line of sight to the players Hero, however, if another card enters play and that’s vacant slot is the first unoccupied position then it is instantly filled and the cards must try to destroy each other once again. If a card is able to attack with no enemy card blocking it then it deals its damage against the Hero and reduces their Leadership; once a Heroes leadership reaches zero or they run out of cards then the game is lost.

One of the key things to the game is that players are not restricted to a single Element, and in some situations they get the chance to attack with more than one squad in a battle, particularly in the PvE campaigns and quests where they will often face two or more enemy squads. Players are able to combine Squads of different Elements to try and utilise the strengths and mitigate the weaknesses of the different groups. By winning battles players will gain XP which allows them to unlock other features as well as gaining Imperials, the in game currency that is acquired through gameplay but can be purchased with real-world currency. With these Imperials players can open up various different Booster Packs to build their own Squads, premade full squads, as well as a variety of other boosts and bonuses for various other features in the game.
