Tasty Tale is the fun and colourful match-3 puzzle game that allows players to create all manner of scrummy desserts for their famous fairy tale clientele. In the game players will see the likes of The Wicked Witch, Snow White and Pinocchio pass through their restaurant doors in search of a meal. With multiple game modes and Facebook compatibility players will have a great time in this free to play browser and app based game.

The basic setup of the game is a level-based progression where players will try to complete puzzles that grow increasingly more difficult as they gain XP from successful completions and level up, thereby accessing new Restaurants and meeting new famous fairy tale figures. Each level comes in the form of a 9x7 grid layout, filled with a variety of icons to represent different ingredients for the food that players have to make such as strawberries, wheat, chocolate, milk and more. Players are able to switch the places of two adjacent ingredients, if the switch creates three or more ingredients in a row or column then the ingredients disappear and that is considered the player’s turn; if no match-3 is made then the ingredients switch back, but it does not take up a turn. When ingredients are moved all those above them automatically drop down and fill in the gap and more ingredients are filled in at the very top of the game grid.

Players can match three ingredients to remove them from the grid, four ingredients to gain a special knife ingredient that when matched with a corresponding basic ingredient it will destroy all the ingredients on that line and column. If players match five of the same ingredient in a row they will create a frying pan special ingredient that when combined will remove multiple ingredients around it (players can even combine special ingredients to create super ingredients for even bigger effects).

There are multiple game modes available ranging from players gathering a set number of each ingredient that appears on the grid, done so by removing them players must get all the required ingredients in a certain amount of moves/turns. Some levels also have ice cubes players must destroy, these ice cubes are in set locations on the grid and do not move when the ingredients below them are removed, though ingredients pass underneath them and by combining a match-3 in an ice cube tile it will destroy the ice cube.

Players will be able to unlock a number of boosters and tools to help them in the game, ranging from a cleaver that will cut across the grid destroying everything in its path, a blender that when combined with any icon will remove all ingredients of the same type, a fork to remove a single targeted ingredient and many more. Players have a number of lives/Clients, losing a life of each time they fail the level, which they can replenish over time, by spending real cash or adding Facebook friends.
